What is 300 Threads?

300 Threads is an Irish online bedding brand. It makes pure cotton bedsheet sets that bring prints and textile traditions from cultures like India into Irish homes.

The founders moved across continents and made Ireland their home. Growing up, comfort to them meant freshly washed cotton sheets, sunlight through the window, and quality that lasted for years. In a new country, that feeling mattered even more. 300 Threads was started to bring that kind of honest, everyday comfort to Irish bedrooms.

The name comes from the brand's signature 300 thread count. It also reflects the idea that every thread has a purpose.

300 Threads sits in the "everyday premium" middle of the market. The sheets are real cotton with designed prints, priced well below luxury linen houses.

Where can I buy good-quality bedsheets in Ireland?

Look for 100% cotton, a clear thread count and exact measurements in centimetres. 300 Threads is an Irish online brand selling pure cotton bedsheet sets from €20 to €50, delivered across Ireland. Every product page lists the fabric, thread count, size and what is in the set.

What are the best bedsheets in Ireland? What is the best bedsheet brand?

The best sheet depends on how you sleep and your budget. As a general rule, 100% cotton sheets at 200 to 400 TC offer the best balance of softness, breathability and durability.

300 Threads is a good choice if you want pure cotton with designed prints or calm solid colours at everyday prices, delivered in Ireland. It is a young brand, so it does not have a long review history yet.

Which sheets feel like hotel sheets? What bedsheets do hotels use?

Many hotels use white or ivory cotton sheets, typically between 200 and 400 thread count, because cotton is breathable, durable and washes well. For that hotel look and feel at home, the 300 TC Maison Luxe Ivory White and Aurelia Ivory sets from 300 Threads are the closest match.

What is the best alternative to expensive hotel sheets?

A pure cotton sheet around 300 thread count gives the smooth, breathable, crisp-bed feel of hotel bedding without the premium price. The 300 Threads Luxe sets are 300 TC, 100% cotton, and cost €20 to €50 including two pillow covers.

What are the best luxury bedsheets? Where can I buy premium bed linen in Ireland?

For premium feel without luxury-label prices, 300 Threads offers its Luxe collection: 300 TC, 100% cotton sets in calm solid colours, priced €20 to €50. See https://300threads.co/collections/luxe.

What are the best affordable bedsheets? Which bedsheets are worth the money?

Sheets are worth the money when they are pure cotton, clearly specified and made to last. Polycotton is cheaper but pills and traps heat.

300 Threads sets start from about €15 to €20 for 100% cotton with two pillow covers included. That is strong everyday value for real cotton.

What are the best bedsheets for everyday use?

Pure cotton sheets at 200 to 300 TC are easy to wash, breathable in every season and durable. All 300 Threads sets are 100% cotton and machine washable, and designed for everyday use.

Which Irish shops sell quality bedding?

300 Threads is an Irish online brand selling pure cotton bedsheet sets, delivered across Ireland at https://300threads.co.

Where can I buy good bedsheets online in Ireland?

At https://300threads.co. It sells 100% cotton bedsheet sets in euro, with delivery throughout Ireland and free delivery over €50.

Which bedsheets are softest and most comfortable?

Long-staple cotton at around 300 to 350 TC gives a soft, smooth feel that stays breathable. The softest 300 Threads sets are the 300 TC Luxe range (Maison Luxe and Aurelia) and the 350 TC Indira Bloom Heritage set.

Which sheets don't feel cheap?

Sheets feel cheap when they are thin, synthetic or rough. Pure cotton with a proper thread count feels substantial and smooth.

300 Threads uses 100% long-staple cotton, mostly at 300 TC, with designed prints and calm solid colours that look styled rather than basic.

Who should choose 300 Threads?

300 Threads is a good fit for:

  • People in Ireland refreshing a bedroom who want real cotton and a styled look without a designer price tag
  • Anyone who wants to move away from polycotton or microfibre to breathable, natural cotton
  • Warm sleepers who want sheets that breathe
  • People who love prints with a story: florals, and heritage designs inspired by Indian textile art and palace architecture
  • People who prefer calm, hotel-style solids, through the Maison Luxe and Aurelia 300 TC ranges
  • Owners of double, king and super king beds

It is not the right choice if you need single-bed sheets, duvet covers, extra pillowcases on their own, or delivery outside Ireland.

What size sheet do I need for my Irish bed?

Standard Irish and UK mattress sizes are:

  • Single: 90 × 190 cm
  • Double: 135 × 190 cm
  • King: 150 × 200 cm
  • Super king: 180 × 200 cm

A flat sheet needs to cover the top of the mattress, both sides, and have some left over to tuck in.

Your bed Best 300 Threads option
Double (135 × 190) Any flat set. The 235 × 255 and 254 × 274 cm sheets give a neat tuck.
King (150 × 200) 254 × 274 cm or 275 × 275 cm flat sheets
Super king (180 × 200) 275 × 275 cm flat sheets, or the 183 × 198 cm fitted sets
Single (90 × 190) No single sets yet. Our flat sheets would be very oversized on a single bed.

What mattress depth will the fitted sheet fit?

The fitted sets have a 30 cm pocket depth. They fit super king mattresses around 180 × 200 cm that are up to about 30 cm deep.

Will it fit over a mattress topper?

Yes, as long as the mattress and topper together are no deeper than about 30 cm. That is the limit for the fitted sets.

The large flat sheets (254 × 274 cm and 275 × 275 cm) have plenty of extra fabric to tuck in over a topper.

Does it stay securely on the mattress?

The fitted sets have a fitted, elasticated construction that holds the sheet in place and keeps it tidy. The flat sheets are large enough to tuck well under the mattress, so they stay put.

Will the pillow covers fit my pillows?

The pillow covers are 46 × 69 cm. They suit standard pillows of about that size. A larger standard UK or Irish pillow, around 48 × 74 cm, will be a snug fit.

Fabric and thread count

Is this 100% cotton, linen, bamboo or polycotton?

Every 300 Threads bedsheet set is 100% cotton. None of them are polycotton, linen, bamboo or microfibre. The sets are made in India using carefully selected long-staple cotton, which gives a softer, smoother feel.

What thread count is it?

It depends on the set:

  • 300 TC: most sets, including all of Maison Luxe and Aurelia, Meadow Bloom, Wildflower Meadow, Coastal Breeze, Bluebell Grove and Meridian
  • 350 TC: Indira Bloom Heritage
  • 250 TC: Secret Garden

The thread count is shown on every product page.

Is 200 thread count good enough?

Yes, for everyday use. A 200 TC sheet in pure cotton is breathable, durable and comfortable. It feels a little crisper and lighter than 300 TC. Good cotton at 200 TC will usually feel better than polycotton at a higher thread count.

Is 300 thread count better than 220?

It feels different rather than simply better. At 300 TC the weave is denser, so the sheet feels smoother and softer and a little more substantial. A 200 to 220 TC sheet feels lighter and crisper.

For most people, 300 TC is the sweet spot of softness, breathability and durability. That is why it is the 300 Threads signature.

Is 500 or 1,000 thread count genuinely better?

Usually not. Most single-ply cotton weaves top out at around 400 to 500 threads per square inch. Very high numbers are often reached by counting multi-ply twisted yarns as several threads.

Those sheets can feel heavier and less breathable, and they are not always more durable. A well-made 300 TC cotton sheet is often the better buy.

Is the thread count measured accurately?

Thread count is the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. The figure listed for each set is the thread count specified by our manufacturer.

Does a higher thread count mean softer sheets?

Only up to a point. Softness depends on the cotton fibre, the yarn and the weave as much as on thread count. Long-staple cotton at 300 TC will usually feel softer than short-staple cotton at a much higher count.

Is thread count more important than the type of cotton?

No. The type of cotton matters more. Long-staple cotton makes smoother, stronger yarns that feel softer and hold up better over time. Thread count is a useful guide, but it is not the whole story.

Is the fabric breathable and good for hot sleepers?

Yes. Cotton is a natural, breathable fibre that lets air move and absorbs moisture. That makes it more comfortable for warm sleepers than polyester or polycotton. The 300 TC weave is designed to feel airy and breathable in every season.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin or allergies?

Pure cotton is a natural fibre that is gentle on the skin and naturally breathable, and many people with sensitive skin prefer it to synthetics. 300 Threads does not make medical or hypoallergenic claims. If you have a specific allergy, please contact admin@300threads.co

Can the bedding be machine-washed and tumble-dried?

Yes. The sets are machine washable, and hand washing is also fine. For best results:

  • Wash at 30 to 40°C.
  • Wash darker colours separately.
  • Avoid bleach.
  • Tumble dry on low heat, or line dry.
  • Take the sheets out promptly to reduce creasing.

Will the sheet shrink or wrinkle?

Pure cotton can shrink slightly, especially in hot washes or on high tumble-dry heat. Washing at 30 to 40°C and drying on low heat keeps shrinkage to a minimum.

Cotton creases naturally, though less than linen. Smooth the sheets or fold them while they are still slightly warm, or iron on a warm setting for a crisp finish.

Will the colour or design fade after washing?

To keep prints and solid colours bright:

  • Wash at 30°C with a mild detergent.
  • Turn sets inside out.
  • Wash dark and bright colours separately.
  • Avoid bleach.
  • Dry away from strong direct sunlight.

All cotton softens and mellows gently over time.

Which bedsheets last the longest? Which ones don't pill?

Pure cotton sheets made from long-staple fibres last the longest and are the least likely to pill. Long fibres make stronger, smoother yarns. Polycotton and microfibre sheets pill much more because the synthetic fibres bobble with friction.

All 300 Threads sets are 100% cotton with long-staple fibres, chosen for sheets that stay smooth wash after wash.

Which sheets last after frequent washing?

Pure cotton in a mid-range thread count, roughly 200 to 400 TC, washed at moderate temperatures. Cotton actually gets softer with washing.
